In the dance of orchestrating a memorable wedding, most roles operate solo. However, the DJ waltzes with everyone, often in tandem with—or stepping in for—the wedding planner. My role isn't just curating the perfect playlist after our thorough consultations. I welcome your guests, oversee formal events, manage lighting and sound dynamics, and act as a sync point with other vendors. Whether it's the venue team, caterers, or your photographer/videographer, I ensure harmony. Imagine the lapse if the DJ cues the first dance without alerting the photographer or commences the toast before champagne is poured. Such moments, while easily overlooked, can become missed memories.

Packages

For all of the weddings I provide services for I always bring all of the same equipment.

Fully licenced music library with over (75K songs)

I offer just two packages. A full day package (ceremony & reception) and a reception only package.

DJ Bird DJ'd our wedding in Vernon this September 2016. Simply from the perspective of someone that has attended a lot of weddings over the past few years, my wife and I were worried that the dance floor at our reception might not be fully packed and people might not really get into party mode, fizzling the night out early. It's really hard to keep it going throughout the night, and get everyone involved.

Following our first dance at about 7:30pm until at least 2:30am, the dance floor was absolutely on fire. I have never, ever, seen a dance party to this extent at any wedding, and I have seen some serious sh*t. Every song was a JAM. Everyone loved each track more than the last. Everyone from every age group was throwing down. A few shirts may have come off. At some points, I'm pretty sure each of our 120 guests was boogie-ing. 

John showed up early, the ceremony music was flawless, and went above and beyond to deliver the literal best cap to an incredible day. There were no problems. Our guests cannot stop raving about DJ Bird. Everyone I've talked to have given an average 10/10 rating. I know this testimonial might sound too over the top or like his buddy wrote it, but honestly if you are looking for a DJ for any event you want people dancing at, just book him now. 

I am not a person to give a 10/10 rating, as I feel that is reserved for the rare time someone goes above and beyond all expectations, and delivers something that is really special. DJ Bird, you are the easiest 10/10 decision we have made. From everyone in attendance on the DF (including kitchen staff who could not resist), thank you for blowing that dance floor to smithereens.

We chose to go with John Bird for our wedding DJ’s services and he was beyond incredible for our entire wedding experience. He went above and beyond! Everyone raved about the music for our whole day. He even met us in his own time a couple days before our wedding so we could be sure he had all of our correct “important songs aka. Walking down the aisle some, first dance, last dance etc. We really appreciated that and it made us feel so confident and relaxed on our day. We would recommend  John again and again! DJ John who played our 75 person wedding this past weekend. He was organized, enthusiastic, considerate and very personable. I was worried with such a small wedding that the dance floor would be empty. To the contrary, out of 5 hours of music there were only a couple songs where no one was dancing. The little kids right to the oldest kid (85 year old) thoroughly enjoyed his music. John was flexible and was very amenable to playing some of our favorites and he threw in some great additions of his own. He was very interactive with the crowd when needed in a fun, but unassuming manner. 

The music truly made our beautiful reception a celebration to remember for a lifetime. John even was kind enough to send me a list of songs played so I could make my own Spotify list. Thanks again for helping us make it "the best day ever."
